Pursuant to the Electronic Transactions Act B.E.2544 Amendment (No.2) B.E.2551, the Electronic Transactions Commission shall comprise Minister of the Information and Communication Technology as a chairperson, Permanent Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology as a vice-chairperson, and other 12 committees appointed by the Cabinet through the recruitment both in the private or public sectors qualified in six specialized fields

- Science or Engineering
- Social Science
One of the committee members in each specialized field shall be selected from the private sector with a three-year term in the position. The Head of Office of the Electronic Transaction Commission is served as a committee and secretary. The first Electronic Transactions Commission was appointed by the Cabinet on September 23, 2003.
The Office of the Electronic Transactions Commission, Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology, currently serves as an agency to support the missions carried out by the Electronic Transactions Commission. Meanwhile, Director of Office of the Electronic Transactions Commission, Ms.Ladda Jaengkasemsuk, has worked as a committee member and secretary to the Electronic Transactions Commission. The fourth Electronic Transactions Commission was newly appointed on April 8, 2014.
